New communication resource available to assist fund-raising and raise awareness of Sousa teuszii with government and industry stakeholders
CCAHD members have collaborated with Graphic design firm, Agenda28 to create an infographic that captures the most essential information about the Critically endangered Atlantic humpback dolphin. Available for download in English, French and Portuguese, this Infographic will be used to support government engagement meetings planned to take place in June and July 2021 in Gabon, Cameroon and Senegal. It this hoped that digital versions can be disseminated as widely as possible using social media networks, and that this tool can support any additional efforts to raise awareness of Atlantic humpback dolphins and their conservation needs with government or industry stakeholders as well as potential funding bodies who could support research and conservation efforts. Together with the CCAHD Priorities report that was published in February 2021, this infographic can support local, national, regional and international Conservation efforts. The CCAHD is seeking additional funds to provide A3 printed versions of this resource to members in range countries, and is also seeking funding to design and disseminate a different range to communication resources aimed at coastal communities and fishers in range states, to promote awareness of the species, as well as reporting of sightings, stranding and bycatch.
