Abstract
This early description of the first Sousa teuszii specimen made known in Europe describes it as a riverine species, and repeats the observation that it was found with vegetable matter in its stomach and therefore might be vegetarian. It examins the skull from Cameroon and compares it to other known river dolphin species.
